So what is the concensus on Fuel Power?

I used the old FP I bought from Otis several years ago. Recently I have been using the Fuel Power Plus. Not Sure if Otis had any part in making the FP+. I have no increase in MPG but I'm just concerned with it's cleaning and lubricating power. How well does FP work these days? Is it still good stuff like when Otis was selling it? Many thanks!

seems like it still works great. I dont have much experience with the plus version, as Ive had a lot of the original stuff.

I do believe there is a slight MPG improvement, but it is very small and can easily get caught in the noise. There is a different feel as well.

The best evidence Ive seen to its use is that it does indeed quiet the electric hum of the fuel pump.

I used most of a gallon on two vehicles. Couldn't tell any difference in performance or mileage so I took the remainder of it to the hazardous waste disposal at the dump with a batch of old oil.

injectors were spotless and tested to specs with good spray pattern on intake manifold replacement after 10K miles use of original FP

I noticed the FP+ is much thinner then regular FP......does that mean anything?

I have been using FP+ in two of my vehicles for about a year now. Nothing truly blows me away about this additive, but it may actually be helping with a fuel dilution issue in one of them. I have one UOA (Blackstone) that shows a remarkable inprovement so far. I plan to do another UOA (Dyson) around April to confirm that there is improvement. My other vehicle that I'm using it in is on it's first fill (6 month OCI) of a new oil, so I'll wait until I change out the second fill (October) to sample it with Dyson. This will be a great challenge, since my wife only has 3 miles to drive to work.

I have been using it with great results as per Terry's sugguestion. It has caused a jump in fuel economy and the engine performs better. Terry said that I most likely had hard deposits in my engine from winter fuel additives and the fact the Hyundai runs their engines very rich when cold. Since running for the past 3,000 Miles I have gone up 9% in fuel economy according to my scan gauge and the engine performs really great. Now I know my mileage is accurate because I drive for a living and drive to all the same places week after week...

My main purpose is to use it as a fuel stabilizer, since I live close to work, my car only gets used on the weekends. I do notice that during cold engine operations, or on colder days the car produces less white smoke. If indeed the engine burns cleaner during cold operation when incomplete combustion produces acids then I should have less engine wear due to corrosion. Other than that, I do notice a mileage increase, on a 220mi drive non-stop, I now save a 1/8 of a tank of fuel, so the car either runs more efficiently or the combustion chamber is much cleaner. As for the smoothness factor, it is hard to say whether it is there, my main purpose for my situation is fuel stabilization.

Another observation in 2-stroke operations, cold start up produces less smoke, so this product must be helping oil separate from gas before full engine warn up to lubricate instead of being burned up. 2-stroke is primarily fuel stabilization, I do have smoother starts and cleaner plugs on my 2-strokes as well.
