I found this video on youtube and it sounds like the Honey browser extension is "possibly" acting as malware, by changing affiliate links you want to use to help a creature you want to "tip" with their link use. But in turn Honey switched the link to them in a "malware" switch-it move.

Yeah, that's how pretty much all of those extensions work.

Yeah, that is on the list of banned items on work computer. One of our IT guys said it is bad news and would never put it on his PC.

But can you still save money-effortlessly using it? I mean there is no free lunch on any of this software-and this info (how it works-what it does) is probably embedded in the user agreement-nobody reads.

That video popped up for me on Youtube. Haven't used Honey, but after watching it, I was thinking how clever they hide what they are really doing.
