So it appears, the extension "Honey" is "possibly" acting as malware

I found this video on youtube and it sounds like the Honey browser extension is "possibly" acting as malware, by changing affiliate links you want to use to help a creature you want to "tip" with their link use. But in turn Honey switched the link to them in a "malware" switch-it move.

 
But can you still save money-effortlessly using it? I mean there is no free lunch on any of this software-and this info (how it works-what it does) is probably embedded in the user agreement-nobody reads.
 
That video popped up for me on Youtube. Haven't used Honey, but after watching it, I was thinking how clever they hide what they are really doing.
