I noticed a few weeks ago there were several threads on the new "slim" 2x conc. Regane bottles, and there was some skepticism along with it if Regane was still ok, and if it still has the same % of PEA etc, etc...

I am just wondering what the general consensus is, right now...
Is it still a good product? Are you guys still using it?

Or shall I swutch to REdline Sl-1?

I just got off the phone with Gumout about 15 minutes ago. Yes is still uses PEA, yes the new small bottles are concentrated and the one guy I talked to said it is actually a little more than 2X concentrated. I've been using it for 15 years and will continue to do so.

After use, clean the small bottles out real well and they are good for two or three shots of whiskey.

Johnny: I'm a Regane user and I think it offers the best 'bang for the buck'. Why would SOPUS come out with Shell V-Power additive which apparently doesn't have PEA (according to some on this site)?

I have no idea. Shell additive is made by Shell Chemical and the Gumout products are still made where they have alway been made..

A little Gumout history for you:

It all began when President Roosevelt promised Prime Minister Churchill wartime equipment under the Lend Lease program in 1941. The United States transported tanks, planes, cars, and trucks to England by ship. In order to navigate through Nazi U-Boats, the American ships had to zig-zag back and forth, adding weeks to the voyage. Since England had limited supplies of fuel, Uncle Sam shipped the equipment with full tanks.

During the journey, the carburetors were gummed up by vapors. The US enlisted the help of PENRECO in Western Pennsylvania, who provided a solvent to remove the vapor varnish from the equipment. The solvent was called Gumout, and it did exactly that. And the rest is history.

I was using it until the msds didn't show it on there anymore. It might have it in there, it might not, but I'll rather use someting that I know for SURE has a high amout of PEA in, which is the Redline.

Maybe you should read Johnny's first post in this thread. You appear to have completely missed it.

Johnny do you know the percentage of PEA concentration in those bottles ?

Thanks

Interesting because about 4 or 5 years ago they did in fact clearly print the percentage right on the bottle of Regane Complete I bought...I still have a few old bottles of it left since I figured that it wouldn't go "bad" with the carrier being kerosene and the bottle being sealed and stored in a cool place.

I didn't have to read his post. The sales person states that it's in there but the MSDS doesn't clearly say YES! I don't know why it's a "huge secret" where as before it was clearly shown on msds for years. So with MY MONEY, I will PURCHASE a product that CLEARLY STATES PEA is in the product. You spend your dollars however you would like, and I will do the same. Thanks.

What makes you think Johnny was talking to a "sales" person? And basing your opinion on a change in MSDS is silly. There are many elements in chemicals not listed in an MSDS. Refusing to buy it because you don't like the color would make more sense.
