Snowiest Winter in History

Yep. Swimming in snow as I traverse the greater metro Pottstown area. I'm not used to working this hard in my jeep. The wife is stuck at work without relief. The church hosting our homeless guests stayed open for us all day. There's no place for anyone to go.

The dogs have to cut their own path in the yard. The beagle is buried in a few spots.

The wall of snow on my side walk is about 5' high.

It's looking more and more like the planet Hoth around here.

We're having the complete opposite in Toronto, so far it looks to be the least snowiest winter on record. We've only had two snow storms so far and even then they weren't really storms, yesterday we got 2 inches and the last one was about 3 inches. Other than that, we've only had a couple of days with light flurries. So I think the grand total for the entire season so far is still way under 10 inches! I hope it continues!

I remember several years ago that there was quite a bit of ice and snow in Florida.

We live less than 20 miles from the Floria Panhandle and ice and snow are forecast for this evening and tomorrow here.

Many moons ago as a child I remember snow in Lakeland Florida too.

Keep warm!

Just east of Peterborough, its out of reach of most lake effect snow, which is sort of unfortunate... Makes the winters easy but not as much fun!
Have you been out on Lake Erie ice fishing?

Ha Ha... No, I get all my fish from the SuperStore.

Yesterday was another colder than normal day around here with 14" of record breaking snow, and an earthquake to boot!

I don't see how some of you can't see how colder and snowier actually is warmer . So 8 years of getting colder really means 8 years of getting warmer.

Oops! Gotta go now! My favorite commercial with the baby polar bears on melting ice packs is on!

Meanwhile, wife just called. She'd been trapped at work for the last 4 or 5 shifts. When the plow came she said "it's about time". He looked at her jeep ..33" tires ..winch.. and said "Yur tellin' me you couldn't get out?". She says, "Sure, but no one else could get in to relieve me". "Oh, yeah. I see yur point".

She just called again. She was supposed to bring me a House Special from Berwyn Pizza ..greatest Greek Pizza known to modern man ..at least currently available. She's been asked to stay another 2 more shifts with 8 hours off in between.

Loaded with sausage, pepperoni, sweet peppers, onions, ..what else

?

The main thing that distinguishes it that they use olive oil to grease the pan. It produces a crisp-crunchy toasty bottom crust.

I'd say a Pan Supreme from Pizza Hut is close in construction/content ..if the bozo's aren't cranking the machinery too fast to give higher throughput.

Nothing is worse than expecting a crispy-crunchy crust on your pan pizza and only getting mush while paying LARGE for the Pizza-Hut banner.

We had a 6-10" snowfall in this part of Ohio early in the week.
A decent snow, but not a big deal by historical standards.
It has been a pretty mild winter around here thus far.
