I like it! I know this isn't scientific data but my Jeep just puuurrrrrrss. It's so smooth running with the new Syntec. It's on the thin side of a 30 weight. Oil pressure at 55 running 1500 rpm is 72 psi, AFE 0w30 was 70 psi and Rotella T5 was 76 psi. Warm idle is 33 psi, AFE 0w30 was 30 psi. I have a mech gauge if any one is wondering.

Is there a SN Syntec? I just changed my Frontier to the SN Castrol "Edge With Syntec Power Technology". It was cheaper(at Walmart) than Pennzoil Platinum or Pennzoil Ultra, so I decided to give it a go.

Yeah, that's what I'm running. Just Syntec with a new name.

Castrol makes good products.

But.......whenever I put any new oil in regardless, the engine feels smoother. Then it mellows out as it shears down. haha

Castrol (and this is coming from someone using it too) has the weirdest marketing system I've ever seen. First they introduce Syntec here, then later the Syntec Blend (only the blend, at least here, costs more and the way they're labeled the Blend comes off sounding the better product), then the top of the line Edge, and now "Edge with Syntec Power"? Huh? Where is the logic in marketing the top, most expensive oil as being powered by the yester-year product that Edge superceeds?
