Does it say "Contains Methanol" on the back? Most all DT fuel additives have methanol as the main ingredient. Not good to have in the tank....Thats like old Christy Dri Gas...not Isopropyl but Methanol.

Looks like their marketing departments been trolling the DollarTree website.

I like how everyone was having a bad time but boom! Now my car gets fantastic gas mileage and it doesn't ping at all. Now I use it every fifteen minutes because I need it to survive in life, thanks DollarTree for marketing such a useful affordable product!

Realistically though I doubt a bottle will ever substantially change the octane rating. I'd also be curious whats in it.

If its that cheap and can change the octane rating at all, I'm sure its a chemical you really don't want in a modern engine anymore.

2 ways of measuring octane gains....points,and numbers.Points and numbers are very different things. One is just .xx,a gain of less than one whole number, and others are x. ...thats a whole number. So you could go from 87 to 87.2 or to 89.Normally the just a few buck additives will gain (if any) just a few tenths, whereas the old original 104+ or the first Outlaw (with MMT) might gain 4 whole numbers or so.In other words,if you need the octane, its cheaper to buy it at the pump rather than in a $10-20 bottle. Now if you have a 1968 musclecar with 10.5:1 compression...well,you need all the help you can get.
