Small acetylene torch set

Looks good to me. I used the same sized tanks on a truck frame without refills. Just see who makes the regulators and check them out. I know my old company used to pay over $300 for oxygen regs.

I've read that those small tanks cannot keep up with the demand of the torch, so you get liquid acetone in the lines?(something like that)

I use the same set to solder in the HVAC trade, i use a small #2 tip and the tanks last a while, It depends on what you're going to use them for.

Your torch should come with a booklet, this one was apparently published in '95 and I use it as my reference if I'm worried about going boom

Pretty much only if you use the wrong size tip or rosebud. A small set like this won't be much good with a rosebud....but I guess it depends on what you're trying to heat.

Used to be the 1/7 rule, now I think they revised it to 1/10. There's charts out there that make it pretty simple

I want to be able to heat bolts to loosen them or cut them off. Maybe cut some 3/8 steel.

Are you saying i need a torch to use with bigger tanks, say 55cf?
