Changed my coolant from the original Chrysler factory fill to Zerex G-05, last Summer.
Now I have what appears to be a(greyish)pasty sludge. Aluminum oxide?

How can this be?
What should I do?

Did you mix your G-05 with distilled?

Could just be from mixing coolants (not all out of the system)
I've had that happen on my Saturn.
Did not cause any trouble, next coolant flush pretty much got rid of it all.

That car should have had the mopar G-05 as factory fill, so your new coolant is pretty much the same stuff. Not sure what the sludge is though.

The problem is that the vehicle is 8-years old and has had only a single coolant change.

Add a dose of RMI-25, drive a month or 2, and change the coolant again.

I would drain and refill the radiator and see how it looks in two weeks. Its possible that during the cars first 70K miles that someone added some antifreeze other than G-05.
