TallPaul first brought it to everyones' attention, but we were all calling it CD-2 pink. I take credit for the term, SLOB! I knew with a catchy acronym like VSOT that SLOB would take off.

SLOB will turn up a new oil analyis in the VOA forum. The additives forum should work if you search on part or all of the full name, that is, SLOB = CD-2 Street Legal High Performance Oil Boost. It has about 4700 ppm zinc and phosphorus and so is a great zddp booster for modern oils.

EDIT: Wasn't me that coined the name SLOB, but I love it!

SLOB is a Bob Is The Oil Guy coined (member Taul Paul?) acronym for Street Legal Oil Boost. It is an oil additive made by CD-2. It's quite popular because it essentially is a watered down oil additive package with huge amounts of calcium, phosphorous, and zinc. It's thinner than the other adds too. Great for those who fear the zinc reduction in SM/GF-4 oils (although that fear is still up for debate).
