I was faced with having to rescue a car that sat on four pretty flat tires, which had lost almost all of their air due to bead leaks over about six weeks.
There was nowhere to plug in my small compressor and I wasn't about to haul a generator to run it.
The solution turned out to be one of those little guys that plugs into a power port, what we used to call the cigarette lighter socket.
It took about ten minutes per tire to go from the gauge needle sitting on the low peg to 35 psi, not too bad.
This little guy cost around sixteen bucks from Walmart and certainly proved useful.
How long it'll last I can't say, but it did a job for me that I needed done.
Just something to keep in mind should you need to inflate tires with no source of AC power.
