My new Cub Cadet mower sprung an oil leak. I discovered that the drain plug to the Kohler engine backed off on its own with the engine vibration causing the leak. The oil wasn’t low enough to cause internal issues but I corrected the issues by draining oil and reseating the drain plug with blue permatex thread sealer.

Out and off is Royal Purple 10W30 and the RP 10-2835.
In and on is PowerCare SAE 10W30, and PowerCare WS-8172.

My 11 year old boy was the assistant/cameraman. He’s a great little dude.

I didn’t have time to procure quality/fancy oil and filter so we are gonna run it and find out 😎🥃
