Isn't there other components that need to be replaced as well during this process - ie. lifters?
Our new Chevy ZR2 has this feature, but I almost NEVER see it active. I wonder if it is due to more aggressive engine and transmission tuning over the standard Colorado, or the aero/larger tires/wider stance?

Yeah. The whole point of this mod is to lose the DOD lifters, IMO. I like this method of blocking the passages better than just a plate with O rings. More foolproof.
