Simple PDF app/browser extension? Does it exist?

I use the Adobe extension in Chrome for PDFs, and also the free desktop app. I print a lot of stuff for business, mostly PDFs. The past year or so, Adobe is SOOOOO annoying. Often, opening a document prompts numerous popups and AI suggestions… I just want to print the document!!! (yelling at clouds over). Any suggestions for a browner extension and app that just opens PDFs and nothing more?

In acrobat reader click "menu" in the upper left corner, then "disable new acrobat reader". It reverts back to a standard acrobat.

But yes, Chrome and Firefox browsers will open a PDF now also.

In Firefox you can even make edits to the PDF, which is awesome

I use iLovePDF for anything more than reading and printing. I think it was free.
