So this is how the real China-Marts do business.

Would make a good movie, but change the turn out. 5 Walmart employee's attacking a single woman, who then in a blink of an eye kicks the bajebus out of them.

Seriously that is horrible though, it was probably over a 10c item.

There has to be more to this. Why in the world would five men leave work to do this? One ..maybe two, but five?

This had to be some equivalent of bubba and billy joe getting a load on and finding the first target of opportunity to pull a beat down on.

In China businesses are labor intensive. The American employers like Walmart are less so but they have a lot more staff than a similar operation in the US. The most labor intensive are the state owned retail outlets where you can see an army of employees doing nothing. It's possibly a plot by their government to keep people employed and out of trouble (they have issues with riots in China with about a 100 riots a day on average).

Other than that, I think it is plausible for 5 people to attack a woman for shoplifting. Items lost through pilferage probably come out of their paychecks.

You can have all kinds of incidents with 1.2 billion people especially given what they have gone through during the past 150 years or so.

Those Associates made a career decision. Strict policies are in place. They took it upon themselves to do what they did, just like anyone else in any other business could have done. Just so happens that it was at a Walmart.

was thinking.... Wal Mart in the USA probably has more total customers than in China, since it is a well established chain and people there have more money to waste on disposable consumption.
