I saw this as I watch "What's going on in shipping"from time to time. If one starts to deny shipping EV's, I wonder if the others will follow. His guest I think is a shipping fire fighter trainer
Most likely. Companies aren't going to throw out business unless it doesn't make financial sense and high insurance costs. I would be very surprised if there was any other motivation.I'm not watching a Youtube video. But it likely comes down to insurance premiums.
Which wouldn't matter if you lived in Hawaii, as you'd have to have that American stuff shipped to you.... I buy American!

Could be. But insurance companies are not always rational-according to stories I have read online. For example-plenty of stories about insurance counting a phone call as a "claim" when no claim is made-but only a phone call from a customer inquiring whether they should make a claim from a monetary standpoint.Probably not. Nobody can prove it's the EV causing the fires, as the ships are sunk. So I don't think there are insurance premiums in place yet.

Yes. Had my own Odyssey shipped to HI by Matson when we PCS'd there. And when it shipped back to the mainland, we had to pick it up in St Louis!Madson operates Jones Act vessels between the mainland ports and Hawaii. If one of those burns it’ll really impact shipments to Hawaii. I think that’s the real reason or most important reason.
