I'll admit it - my family are Vietnamese noodle soup addicts. I could live without starchy noodles but - throw in the perfect broth, lots of meat, some tendon, a little tripe.... (ok no tripe for you guys and my girls)

Well last night (day) my wife made the richest, most perfect spiced broth ever. Three kinds of meat...all the acutrements

That was living. Sorry, photographing our daily sustenance is completely verboten.

Point taken.

The broth is the thing. The noodles and meat and various condiments are easy. If you can't get a good broth then you may as well have burritos. Some places sell the broth so diluted......

I mean the broth served at pho houses. So yes I guess I buy it with my bowl of noodles.

Yum! Cinnamon, star anise, lemon grass, oxtail, onion…. I’ve had Pho for lunch that last two days. It’s funny, my wife’s Vietnamese, but when we make pho at home, I make it.

The funniest named Vietnamese noodle house I’ve seen is Pho King, near Stockton Ave. in Sacramento. For those of you who don't know, pho is pronounced fuh (more less, but you get the point).

Mark, similarly, I'd always thought an distant outback steakhouse should be Far Q (with "uisine" in tiny font after the Q)
