Now that the mower is working, and I know what the problem was (Dirt got in the float bowl and plugged the jet) I want to know if I can buy an inline fuel filter for it, that will fit? Also, I seem to have to clean and knock out the air filter every other mowing, it's full of dirt. Would one of those foam pre-filters be a good idea in this case? And finally, when running, the gas cap seems to be leaking. The whole time it's running the side of the tank is wet coming from the cap, looks like the cap is leaking. Bad seal, or what?

You'll just need some 1/4" (Inner Diameter) fuel line, clamps, and a B&S or Tecumseh inline filter.

Check eBay if you can't find what you need at NAPA. I know that the B&S filters are available at Walmart. Some replacement gas caps are available at Walmart, as well.

Oil nerd is right. They also make the fuel filters in clear plastic so you can see what the status of the filter is. I think the foam pre filter is a good call. You might need to adjust the carb to account for the reduction in air flow, but I kinda doubt it.

Agree with above. Walmart should have a replacement gas cap. The fuel filter, you can get the B&S at Walmart or Lowes. Fits a 1/4" gas line. The longer opaque white one with the paper media is better than the ones with the screens inside.

Definitely go with a foam pre-filter. If you can't find one that fits, you can make one from one of those cut-to fit furnace filters. Just keep it lightly oiled.

Go to a motorcycle shop to buy in line fuel filters. You can get them for less than two bucks rather than being scalped buying a B&S or Tecumseh brand. I went to buy a B&S fuel filter and it was close to $8.00! Not going to happen.

Just about anything that's needed for lawn mower repair can be purchased from hardware stores, bicycle shops and motorcycle shops. Usually better quality stuff than what the dealerships are selling for nowhere near the cost.
