Service Champ 3000miles Unkown 5-30 bonus spider

This came off my mom's new 2004 Infiniti FX35, quick change place last put it on. Someone also removed all but 4 of the 12 bolts that hold the splash guard. YAy. Anyway nice filter, small, tightened to hulk torque, and the part where the filter was dirty and sludgy. I went with a NAPA Gold 7356 and Valvoline HM Semi 5-30. The ADBV was soft and in good safe.

That's an orb weaver, or garden spider-I've had a few turn up & they scare the womenfolk half to death when they see them-they're usually HUGE (compared to other spiders)!

No, the adbv and bypass both overlap the center tube by over an 8th of an inch, creating a seal.

Growing up we always knew them as "garden spiders". They're good spiders to have around.

Is this a Champ (Fram) made filter? Looks a lot like an Extra Guard, but somehow a little worse! For bargain basement filters, the QS & Casite (by Hastings) look a lot better.
