Hi everyone, new here, so i hope i am not asking a question that has been beaten to death.
But what is semi syn oil? Can i mix natural oil with syn oil (2 cycl mixing oil)?

we put 2 cycle oil in our gasoline, at 600:1
semi synth is a mix of group 2 and 3, or group 2+ and 3. sold with possibly up to 30% group 3, but no one really knows for sure, most of us here mix our own, by mixing 50:50 group 2/2+ with group 3.
all 5w20 conventional oils are group 2+, and conventional 5w30 are group 2. group 3 is more polar than group 2 which is more polar than group 1, which means it clings to metal better. group 3 oils are more shear resistant and more heat resistant, and have better cold flow, which is the reason we mix, and prefer to mix our own because god only knows what the true blend proportion is with commercial brew. even better is mixing Motorcraft semi-synth with group 3, because MC is an excellent oil already, and is cheap as conventional pennzoil YB conventional. DO NOT mix 2 cycle oil with engine oil - only put it in gasoline; it is controversial, but Sarge says it is the best, because modern gasoline is dry, corrosive, and basically garbage, and needs to have some 2 stroke oil added to it to prevent the gasoline from causing the engine to rust out from the inside out. we have seen many engines needing to be rebuilt, because of the poor quality and corrosive nature of cheap gasoline, especially now that the government is demanding that ethanol be added to it, so that the farmers can be paid off, so that the government officials can receive their re election contribution-bribes.

Unfortunately MC semisynth is available only in USA. Canadians can buy a very good quality oil from WallyWorld called SuperTech, and WallyWorld is good for selling motor oil as a loss leader, sometimes even Pennzoil synthetic. Otherwise Canadian Tire OCCASIONALLY has "true" sales, but mostly "fake" sales that are more expensive than WallyWorld regular prices.

Just for clarity, Klink's polarity description above is opposite of reality. Group I is greater than Group II is greater than Group III which is greater than Group IV. A similar trend can be found for lubrticity. The link below may be useful:
