Heard the news today that the U.S. has too many asylum seekers. Australia does to.

So our countries have gotten their collective heads together, and decided to fix the problem. We'll take your asylum seekers stored at Guantanimo (asylum seekers, not captives), and the U.S. will take an equivalent number of ours, currently being stored at Nauru.

Net effect seems like a common score at a soccer match. 0:0 ...except the asylum seekers who each of us have been rejecting for years get to live somewhere, and neither of us have backed down.

Help me see the logic here guys

A 60 kg adult, flying half way around the world, will use up around 60 gallons of jet fel. If it makes some profit for the oil barons, then it's a good idea.
