Schaeffer Fire Sale

Well I am not totally ignorant of the VOA's and used oil analysis of this oil. Nor am I ignorant of the "rep" this oil has with hard core gearheads in my area of South Texas. I have never used it myself. Today I found a fire sale at NAPA in Boerne, Texas. Should this post be in the "Sales" or "Rebates" section I do not know and defer to the mods. I am posting for two reasons. 1. At $2.90 per quart for 5-20/5-30 or 15-40 7000 series did I feel I got a decent deal for a decent oil. I got a Dodge Dakota R/T truck bed full of 5-30 and 15-40 Shaeffers 7000....and left a boatload of 5-20 as I have no cars that require nor call for that oil. I mean the bed was full of quart bottles. I do not know how many I got. They charged me $150 bucks flat ...as they also did not "feel" like counting it. I would guess I have well over 100 quarts.
2. The reason I post. Apparently Shaeffers is having a "issue" with distribution down here. The NAPA dealer here and the local Shaeffers dealer obviously have a issue. The Shaeffers dealer is going around selling this stuff for like $2.90 per quart to anybody. If they do not meet some quota then he raises it to like $4.00 per quart. So this has #@$%! off many outlets like NAPA/AutoZone he was supplying here in South Texas and they have just said screw it and are having a large "coordinated" Fire Sale all over San Antonio and the surrounding area. Lots of Shaeffers for cheap around here right now.

Went by there this morning and I'm the only one raiding the Schaeffers stash. So he had a lot ( a bunch in Texan) of 5-20 that I could see and I do not know what other weights. I have run out of room in the shop for anymore. I've already been ask if I am a new distributor

I got Shaeffers all lined up on dad gum near every empty shelf I had! Guess I'll go green for awhile

2.90 a qt. is an excellent price for 7000series and it is alot more than just a decent oil. It puts up used oil analysis that beat alot of 7$ a qt. oils. I would buy all I could afford for that price. The 15W40 works great in motorcycles and ATVs. You got a deal on that oil.

Usually, the minimum order to avoid shipping is $300 so that may have been the "quota" you were referring to.
