I really like the Schaeffer engine oil, so I'm considering using their gear oil when I change my rear diff fluid on my F-350. I have a few questions I'm hoping you experts can help answer.
1) I have a LSD and I don't see anything referenced on the Schaeffer website about additives already in the fluid. Can I use any LSD additive with the oil, or is it better to use LSD additive only with a brand's own oil? If I can use any, what's recommended?
2) Schaeffer offers five different ISO grades for their 75W-140 oil (http://www.schaefferoil.com/gear-oils-lubricants.html). Are they all compatible, or is one better for my differential?
I'd love to hear about others that have used/ current use Schaeffer's gear oil and how they like it.
Thanks for helping the new guy
