Hate resurrecting an old thread, but this is both interesting and confusing all at once. I've been using the V-Twin in my 2003 V-Rod for some time now, and it's been working fine. I'm not sure if it has a metallic clutch, as far as I know, it's like an automatic transmission with a stack of friction and steel plates. It's a shared sump.
If I'm doing it a disservice by using this oil, I'll stop. I've also used Mobil 1, but it made the clutch feel more "grabby", and shifting a bit "crunchy".
Any input is appreciated.
