Good afternoon all,
Got a hold of some Schaeffer 238 Moly Ultra Supreme grease to replace the separating old tube of Valvoline Synpower grease in my grease gun. (oil was oozing out of the gun - it was "icky" as my son would say)
My lawn tractor needed greasing, so of course, I used the 238. It went into the steering pivot point grease fittings and the mower deck bearing grease fittings.
First thing I noted was that the steering was a lot easier. Then, I cranked it up and pulled the switch to engine the mower deck. Usually, it takes a good two or three seconds for the mower deck to get up to speed (bogs the engine down slightly), but I noted it was up to full speed in less than a second. Can't say its ever spun up that fast.
I'm impressed. It may have more to do with the fact that the mower needed greasing than the 238, but thought I'd post my impressions anyways...
thanks,
ben
