I was on Craigslist browsing when I saw a post for purebred Australian shepherd 9 month old pups. The owner says he has the mom, dad and 2 pups, they're moving and can only take the mom and dad dogs. The post said $100 but I called, he said he would take anything now because he was running shirt on time. I could only take one. I drove 64 miles, gave the dude $50 and took her home. I will post picks shortly. She is very shy and hasn't come out of the crate yet.

Awesome.Those are good dogs and you will find much joy in a dog. Now pickup your shoes before she finds them to chew on.
That is great a pet is always a plus and a dog is something that will Love you to the end and protect you from anything...

In 2003 I rescued a purebred cat in a parking lot. I was drying and detailing my car in the shade of a closed-up furniture store, when up trots this blue-eyed, creamy, long-furred cat with stripes on head, legs, and tail. Squeaking at me, as if to say, "I need human help now!" Clearly she was no stray -- and probably a purebred as well. When no one came looking for her in a reasonable time, I slid into the driver's seat, planning to go home for a carrier and come back. She jumped into the car with me!
So I took her home and put an ad in the paper. No phone calls came. Thus she became Linda's cat for the next 10 years, until Angelique (the name Linda gave her) passed away in her sleep. We've always thought somebody in that area, which was sketchy even then, had "accidentally on purpose" left a door open, and the cat dashed out and got lost. She was lucky that day, and so were we.

I love Schnauzers...at one time we had 3 Minis and a Standard...only the Standard is left, all of the Minis have passed on

lol Marco..... She was supposed to be 45 pounds........
She came from Georgia and hence her name.
She lives with my mother now- they always steal my dogs but I live just down the road.
It is very fortunate as my father passed and this little rescue allows my mother to live alone.
This dog stays up all night on the lookout indoors and barks once when my mother goes to her room and its just like an alarm. ( To let her know she is on guard)So it has eased my mind as well. Thanks Marco

Can we agree rescues always make the best pets.

And I suppose Wolf, my second cat, was a rescue. Five years ago his humans (and I use that word loosely) turned him out and left him behind when they got evicted. He was going door-to-door for handouts, making a bare living, when I took him in. He made friends with my incumbent cat within an hour and has settled in nicely.
Of all my cats, only Tatiana the Siberian kitten was purchased. She was a great companion and extra clever, but not super healthy, and passed away young, age 3.5 years. The rest have all been finds or adoptions from the SPCA.

Dogs are some of the best security systems out there they bark to let you know someone is around they will bite and do whatever it takes to protect their homes and loved ones and they will be there for you in all your dark times.
