Generally speaking this is GMT400 fitment. Currently have a newer GMT800 Delphi (big bore?- 2004 Tahoe Z71 w 4 bolt input cover) in a 89 K1500. Steering feel is good but it has loosened up as I bought it used. Talking to a respected rebuilder, he says the older GMT style Saginaw boxes are his preferred box due to higher quality. I did alot of research before installing this series and although it is a newer design before GM went rack and pinion- the quality of the units never came up. He will replace the torsion bar to lighten up the older boxes steering effort and I am considering going to the '84' big bore case.....but if the units are comparible quality- I'll keep and rebuild the Delphi.

Older units came with the plate and spring clip at the output end and two adjustments, newer style does not have this-all cast and has one adjustment.
