Sae 140 oil.....

Hello all. Ive got an old Toro golf course tractor and the trans + differential both call for SAE 140 gear oil. I saw at TSC they had 85w140 oil. Is that the same thing? Any alternatives??? 140 seems to be rare.. thanks,

SAE 140 should be a mono grade.

The 85W140 is a multigrade so yes you can use it.
