Anyone have any experience spraying rustoleum oil based enamel with a hvlp paint gun? Could use some tips on mixing ratios with reducer and enamel hardener, flash times etc.
I am not sure what ratios to give you because I mix it by feeling the viscosity when adding the thinner. I have never used hardener before because I didn't think they were necessary for my projects. I will say the paint does dry decently slow so a hardener would be good to use on items that don't flex. I like painting with rustoleum because its cheap and holds up well. I use the $13 purple spray gun from harbor freight. I have painted the plow on my truck which has held up great after a few seasons of plowing and I painted my motorcycle. Changed that from green to white. I'll post up a few pics. Also the thinner I used was vm&p naptha. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
