Friends 05 Dodge Dakota has a rough idle here lately. I picked up a large bottle/cant remember how many ounces of the Gumout All in One cleaner. After 2 tanks the truck is purring again. He gets his gas at a Chevron down the street that sees heavy volume soo im pretty much ruling out a bad batch of gas. Truck has alittle over 62thousand miles on it. Gonna do a plug change on Friday for him also due to the fact, as tight as he is im sure there the orginals but I could be wrong. He bought the truck used with alittle over 33thousand miles.

Yeah thats the one I bought. Looking at one now. Its 10oz good for 35 gallons. I think Walmart may get exclusives for a more concentrated dose in smaller bottles. Walmart also sells a tiny 10oz bottle of techron concentrate plus that cant be found anywhere else.

O'rielly just had these on sale also for $6.99, still higher than Wally's regular price I believe. Saw one at Target for $6.5x recently. The Regane all-in-one comes in a larger size for some reason. Great for two tanks and best $/oz usually for PEA off the shelf.

Try Big Lots for the unconcentrated version that still treats 35 gallons.

I picked up a few for $4 each. Wish I had gotten more as I see the benefit of running this yearly and cannot always get top tier gas without paying a significant premium.

Note that Mercedes and some others only recommend Techron. It must be because they don't believe you require the UCL. So once my stash is used, I will most likely stock up on Techron when it goes on sale.

I also like the Techron Concentrate plus but my Walmart never seems to have it anymore or someone/someones snags the whole stash when its put on the shelf. I can see why but cant stand greedy people.

I use a bottle of Regane or Techron in our vehicles at every oil change which is typically 6000 - 7500 miles. Probably more than necessary, but keeps the fuel systems running well.

The Gumout AIO has something the techron concentrate plus doesn't have. A UCL/friction reducer. Maybe that was it. Reading an article written by Gumout about the products containing PEA they write.. "Gumout has a few items in their portfolio including Regane, High Mileage Regane and All in One Complete Fuel treatments." Interesting that the claimed potency/effectiveness of the products are listed in the same order below:

Going to Walmart to see what the "Gumout Regane High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner" costs. Its potency is ranked 2nd to the AIO minus the UCL/friction reducer so it should be cheaper.

+1....and at $4 a bottle at Big Lots (good for 35 gallons).... I can use it twice....which makes it a bargain as well.

Interesting... thanks! I had thought that Regane was their top product and have been using it since I "upgraded" from the Chevron Pro-Gard w/ Techron stuff I previously used. While I still have 3 bottles of Regane in the garage cabinet, maybe I'll get some All-In-One instead.

the 'before' & 'after' pictures have been relabeled with
'DIRTY & CLEAN'

How sad...:( that you need a description to tell you which is the dirty picture, and which is the clean picture

Would there be any benefit to doubling the dose for a 16 -17 gallon tank capacity, or would it just be wasted and one would be better off using 2 consecutive 10oz doses?

2 consecutive treatments is best IMO. it provides a longer period of time for the stuff to soak into deposits and loosen them.
