Run Lawnboy 2-stroke 100-1 with AMsoil

Amsoil sabre at 80:1 in a bolens trimmer.I've tried petroleum oils at different ratios and they did not allow for easy starting and the high power I get with amsoil.The carb. is not adjustable,so the 80:1 mix was the only easy method of getting more fuel in the engine.

I like that, my mower still smells like a good lawnboy should but it does smoke very little. On a windy day you can't see any smoke but if its almost still it will be slightly visible. My mower is running a bit lean (air/fuel wise)though due to a leaky seal I should've fixed last winter. The same gas and oil mix in my chainsaw does smoke all the time as its running richer.
I should pull the plug on the mower as I bet its a light tan colour, I doubt anyone with an obviously smoking lawnboy has a plug that's not black.

I would not go higher than 50:1.

I tried 100:1 to one in my lawnboy and it threw a rod after 2 tanks.
