RTS oval dirt racing

Hey guys. New to the forum. Wanted some opinions.

I race a micro sprint which uses an '04 600cc r6. Dirt oval similar to a midget.I did a lot of research last year about using RTS which was the route I chose and have been happy so far.

Since this engine is in a dirt racing car I change the oil and filter after every two nights. One night would generally consist of approximately 30-35 laps of racing. Averaging 10-13 sec lap times, the engine is at load for 5-7 minutes over a nights racing. Anywhere from 10-15k rpm. Then throw in another 10-15 minutes of warm-up/idle time. So over a two event interval the oil Sees 10-15 minutes of load and 20-25 minutes of idle time.

I didn't do any used oil analysis last year but I plan on sending in a sample after the first change of this year. I guess my question is is RTS even a waste of money at these short intervals? Wondering if Rotella 15w40 conventional would suffice? Or should I be spending $8-11/qt on "motorcycle racing oil"? Obviously the UOA will tell a lot. Just wondering about opinions. Thanks

Just my opinion here. RTS nor Rotella T were ever designed to be a racing oil nor to be run on just methanol fuel.

I would personally use a product that was designed to do so.

I'd just dump it after every race until you get a used oil analysis to see if its being diluted by the alcohol. Most "fuel" specfic race oil are just thicker, and the problem is more pronounced with supercharged engines with huge blow by. Your NA engine shouldn't be getting that much fuel in the oil. I'd use the 15w40 over the 5w40. Only reason for 5w40 is cold flow, being synthetic means very little otherwise and shouldn't be thought of a step up in protection.
