My son has a go-cart with a tecumseh 6 hp. We bought the go-cart used and it is approximately 7 years old. I do not know the history of maintenance on the engine but my son run's it pretty hard. I just bought a new carb for it and changed the air filter.
I was using 30 wt Valvoline in it but I changed to some Royal Purple 15w40. Is this appropriate? The motor runs smooth and I have not noticed any leaks. Just curious.
