Royal Purple 10W40

Anyone ever try Royal Purple 10W40? If so,how was your experience with this particular oil? I wonder how well that oil holds up compared to Mobil 1 15W50? RP`s oils seem to be "thicker" than the other brands. Their 20W50 is the thickest stuff I`ve ever seen.

It's an excellent Group IV oil. It will shear a little bit, but if your engine is specified for a 30WT, it'll be just right.

Does it shear down permenantly,or just when it`s at maximum operating temperature?

No one really knows. I dont think anyone has ran it long enough to see if it thickens back up like older amsoil formulas used to do.
