Rotella T 15w-40 [5,031 miles] 1990 Deville

This is my first UOA. Wear metals are up but this OCI has been to [censored] and back and I hope the next UOA is better.

When I was 600 miles from home, I had the pickup coil in the distributor go out. I replaced it and didn't have a timing light to retime it, I gave it a whirl the old fashioned way by hand. still ran [censored], but it would get me home. Turned out it was about 6 degrees behind... give me a break first time I have ever taken a distributor out. Anyway before heading back home I decided to go around new mexico. So by the time I got home I had put roughly 1500 miles on it with the engine out of time.

It also has roughly 15-20 hours idling (sleeping at rest stops) which I forgot to mention in the report. Also put in a now set of injectors, which were run they last 700 miles of the OCI.

Hmmm....we'll need to see a follow-up UOA before we can make conclusions. Though surely the timing mix up did a bit of damage. I forecast a the next UOA will be good.

The Z and P seem low for Rotella T, or are these the correct levels for the newer blend?
I thought of using this oil for a boat, but those levels seem low.

Down from ~ 1100 ppm P / 1200 ppm Zn.
