Rotary engines and synthetic oil?

I'm considering getting the upcoming Mazda RX-8 which will have the Renesis rotary engine in it. Does anyone have any experience using synthetic oil in a rotary. Someone posted on the rx-8 board that sythetic oil wasn't good to use with a rotary.. Doesn't really make sense to me but then again the rotary engine is a LOT different than a conventional piston engine.. Comments?
