Roof venting for flat roofed garage?

Hey guys!

Building a garage around an existing carport with a flat roof.

There is no Joist gap and the roof is rubber.

Do I require a vent? I didn't think so unless the garage itself need to be vented.

No but your local building code has the final say.

can vent out the side with your choice of vents fan etc.

Thanks, that was my thought too. I'll holds back hacking up the roof until our Inspection. It was marked on the kickbacks on the drawing......but they had assumed an joist gap.
