Rogue:JS/Winwebsec Intercepted by MSE

Evidently a friends email addr has been hijacked and I was sent this thinking it was a .jpg from a recent trip. Fortunately, MSE intercepted it, quarantined it and I didn't fall for the 'fix'.

Anyone else seen this going around?

First time I've ever encountered a virus on one of my pc's..period..in 12 yrs. Given your response, I've been very lucky!

you've been lucky. I had multiple people get hacked and sending out links for years. Most people learn...
I had someone who had an unused hotmail account get hacked and they used it to keep hacking their yahoo account about once a month.

Took me a while to fix that one...

If you use gmail and some others they automatically scan and delete virus etc also.

the whole fake antivirus trojan is pretty popular too.

Personally myself I have only had 2 virus alerts in about 10 years and both were in browser cache that got deleted and nothing was installed.
