Actually Bill Garmier is on record stating that they use GP III syn's in their formulations but their 0W-20 and 0w30 grades are two that are PAO/veggie blend. Their 5w30 and 10w30 use GP III oils but the thing about RLI is that you really don't know what what you're going to get; sometimes it's better quality than you bargained for as was the case with a friend who bought some 10w30 fairly cheaply, had a VOA done and it clearly was mostly 5w30 or even a 5w30/0W-30 blend based on it's very high VI.

I have never seen a statement by Bill to that effect, but, ok, not suprising.
Let me restate what I said earlier so it is clear:

As I stated a number of years ago, When dealing with bio-synthetic formulations, one has to work with the available supply of vegetable oils and esters and have a number of formulations to account for that variable supply situation.

it's like $25 per litre retail here, could probably find it for 15 in batch. difficult to ship and manage vat deductions efficiently. Strange that is's not in americas??? Seem to have quite good reputation...
