Rislone Oil Stabilizer with Engine Treatment

Has anyone used it or have any comment on this product? I can't believe if this stuff eliminate "dry starts" (?) why a motor oil producer has not included it in their oil ingredients.

Rislone Oil Stabilizer with Engine Treatment contains copolymer esters that have an affinity for metal surfaces. Also has ZDDP and some additives that are ZDDP substitutes to protect and prevent wear with metal to metal contact.

I saw that the other day and smiled. $10 would cover an oil change for me and get a full load of fresh ZDDP.

Almost all brand-name OTC motor oil certified for the latest ILSAC/API certifications and also meets/exceeds most N.A. auto manufacturer's standards already come with more than enough aw, detergency, etc. additives within so why on earth would someone still wants to add a bottle of Rislone?

Ohhh... I get it! Those avg joes whose insisted that just because WWII jeeps and planes, grandpas, some gawd-knows-who uncle's mechanics insisted that it was necessary for them some 1/2 a century ago (mind you though: those were the days where motor oil doesn't even have a standard certifications to comply to nor were they even come close to being API Gp-1 grade) meaning that it is deemed necessary to add a bottle into their OBD-II compliant, ULEV certified EFI vehicles .....

Just because they still believe that modern automotive engine oil still needs it...
