‘ Rambling Rose ‘ is another great sleeper movie Duvall starred in along with Diane Ladd, and Laura Dern who is Diane Ladds daughter from her marriage to Bruce Dern. Duvall mastered the accent of a 1930’s Southern gentleman to a tee. The reason he has starred in so many and such varied characters is he was one of only a few actors so diverse they could easily play any part they chose. Robert Duvall was a fantastic actor! RIP.

Everytime I think of Robert Duvall, plenty of movies come to mind, but one scene from “Secondhand Lions” sticks out to me. The scene where he teaches that group of teenagers how to fight properly.
He was such a great actor. RIP

This is one if those events that hurts, mostly because great generation of actors are leaving. But in Bob’s case, man, that was helluva life he lived!

Duvall is one of my most favorite actors. To me, his best role was as Texas Ranger Augustus McRae in the TV mini-series Lonesome Dove. I just rewatched Days of Thunder the other day. For one of his obscure films, look up "The Outfit." RIP to a terrific actor.
