RIP Peter Green

The great Peter Green passed peacefully in his sleep.
Peter was 73.

Had he not fallen sick, his band would have been bigger than the Stones, Beatles, Led Zep, you name it.

Sad, so many great musicians I’ve admired are passing away. I know it‘s the cycle of life and all, but still.

Peter Green was one of the greatest guitarists of all time. There are quite a few YouTube videos of him playing with his band the Splinter Group and you can see some flashes of brilliance but other times the band is carrying him. It's sad how his life was affected by LSD and mental illness. I'm sure he's jamming with his old friend and protege Danny Kirwan in that great rock and roll band in the sky right now.

The first Fleetwood Mac lp from 1968 "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac" is definitely their best.
