RIP Ace Frehley

I wonder if they tried shocking him to make him feel better...

But seriously, RIP. I was a huge KISS fan in my teens.

RIP, all of the legends from my era are starting to pass away. I'm a little young to know KISS from their masked albums, but the following iterations of the band always brought it.

I feel the same, the legends from my musical heritage are dying off. Kiss was the first hard rock band I got into when I was a teenager in the 70's. I think I was 13 years old the first time I heard Kiss Alive at a friend's house. Kiss Alive was the first record I ever bought with my own money, and I wore it out on my brother's cheap K-Mart record player. Then I bought Destroyer about a year later. Kiss was a big influence on me back then. I never really quite understood the stage show or makeup and costumes but I was crazy about the early Kiss music, up to the Rock and Roll Over album. After that I kind of fell out with the band and discovered other bands like Rush, Boston, Aerosmith and a host of others but I still listen to the early Kiss albums today. The 70's gave us some great music, perhaps the very best music of my generation.

RIP Spaceman. Thanks for giving us so much great rock and roll.

So sad. RIP.

I saw KISS in concert once circa 1990 when they did a tour without face paint. It was strange but still a good show. I don't think Ace was in the band at the time. I went to a lot of concerts during that period. Saw KISS, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Whitesnake, Great White and a bunch of forgettable bands.

Me too but definitely before 1990 hahaha

I wasn’t even a super Kiss fan but even in the late 70s they were a rest from the choice of disco or punk! Ha!!

Ace could rock. RIP.

Ace seemed like the guy you would want to hang out with. A real guy who happened to be a rock star.
Sad Neil Peart, then Ozzy, now Ace
No wonder old people are grumpy, all their musical heroes begin to die off.

Specifically, too bad the guys in KISS all dished on each other. At least Sabbath put their issues behind them.
And Rush never had any issues at all.

RIP ACE. I was brought up on music from Kiss / Sabbath / Rush. He was only 74. Brain bleeds can be deadly, must have been some fall he took. I too am becoming grumpy now that all my youth band members are slowly dying off. Steven Tyler can't sing anymore due to damaged vocal cords, and Aerosmith was one of my fav's. His father taught me music class in High School in The Bronx. RIP Ace :(

Saw him this year ......the 59' ( replica) lemonburst and the light up Les Paul Jr

I knew then I was seing something that would never be again

To the Stars space Ace

Not a huge fan of the band, but I give them a ton of credit as they were very impactful for many years on the music scene. A younger friend of mine was a proud member of the KISS army of fans. RIP to a very talented musician who entertained millions of fans!

I wasn’t a Kiss fan but I was a Tom Snyder fan. This was his Haloween show 1979.

LOL I've seen that video! Ace was hilarious.... Maybe a little drunk and he was totally clowning around while Gene and Paul (especially Gene) were trying to be serious.
