Ridgid Vacuum with car kit

Well that is somewhat upsetting as I just bought that vac without the extras....

It is a nice VAC... I might have to go up there and make a minor scene and see if having spent 20,000+ this year counts for anything....

I have a Rigid vacuum similar to this one without wheels but the same HP and size. I really like it has great suction I do not have all the accessories this on comes with. You will really like it!

Used a Rigid vac for about 12 years when I had a detailing business. The extra length hose is the most useful item. You will only use 1 or 2 nozzles regularly. I closed down after 15 years in 2020. Had a good run. Now I have overkill equipment to wash my personal vehicles.

That is a great package. I have been using it for nearly everything around the house and cleaning cars for the past 4 or 5 years and it works great. My only recommendation is to get the knockoff liner bags from Crucial Vacuum (Amazon). The Ridgid brand bags are stupid expensive. These will save you lots of time and filters.

Is this a corded vac? I used to use a large 25 gallon rigid shop vac on the vehicles. finally got tired of lugging that around and bought a DeWalt 20v vac with optional cord. Rigid is sitting in my shed unused.

To me cordless is a great option.

it is a corded vac. i bought it for the smaller size , as like you i have a large one and got tired of dragging it around for smaller jobs. its highly rated by the detailing folks

I have this compact Rigid for use on cars

but the hose annoyingly snaps and releases depending how much suction the nozzle has. Would the hose in the car kit prevent that? I see Rigid also sells a "Pro hose" https://www.testequipmentdepot.com/...8Sw9Mw_JffkxOn9Wjz1U1Y1_RufXOlMRoCZLYQAvD_BwE Would that eliminate that issue as well?

I don't know if the car kit would eliminate the hose issues you mentioned. It is essentially an extra length of narrow hose that attaches to the larger hose. This extra length allows you to set up the base on one side of the car and reach throughout the car without having to move the base.

Mine arrived a few days ago. Seems like a nice upgrade from my previous one. Nice hose with the car kit but no place to store on the vac itself. Also wish they would put in a retractable cord instead of having to wrap it around the handle manually.

Just used mine and really pleased. The smaller hose means I’m not wrestling an anaconda and as another user mentioned setup in one place and reach the entire car.....highly recommend 😎😎
