Definite increase in power, mpg and engine smoothness. Highly recommend it and you can now buy it at AA parts stores. I've always used Techron, but I think the RL is much better.

Where can you purchase this at? Looks like great stuff and I wanna give it a try.

I only know of Advance Auto stores that carry it but there are none around here.

Who else carries it?

I'd order it from myoilshop.com then. I really think it's made a great difference. Never ran a fuel system cleaner that I actually noticed a difference.

Are you going to be doing a UOA on this interval though? Because apparently that is one of the cleaners which skews the UOA results.

I have been using this Redline fuel cleaner with my 10k mile oci GC trial. However, I did not use the whole bottle all at once.

I used the 10 gallon marks on the bottle as sort of a "maintence" dose.

Have "maintence" doses of Redline been shown to skew UOAs? I know for sure that a full bottle undoubtedly does, a full strength cleaning of most stuff out there will skew the UOAs a bit.

Really? I was planning on doing a UOA. I have ASL in my car with 5k miles on it and only 1qt of makeup oil. I've been driving hard too, lots of Redline's. I can't wait to get another car. Can't deal with how slow this one is. Might as well send it off anyway to see if it effects my results. Might order some Amsoil 5w-40 and try that next.

I'm currently using this stuff too. When I first put it in, I felt.. I thought anyway near immediately my car was peppier. Although over the past week or so I've been wondering if it's a placebo effect.

It's hard to say, turboed cars are picky, they (of course) run better/faster when it's colder.. cooling the intercooler etc etc.

It's hot as heck here right now, and I still FEEL like it did something.

Car only has 19k on it.

Based on an earlier thread on the Redline fuel system cleaner (a week or two ago, but can't find it) I bought some. Dumped the entire bottle in a 20 gal tank. I have run 200 miles and the truck feels great, seems to run better. Never noticed an effect with any other injector or fuel system cleaner. I'm going to keep using it. One more bottle for good measure, then its the maintenance dose. I now have bought 6 bottles (have three vehicles). Haven't noticed any fuel economy effects yet--the better it runs, the more I put my foot into it

Read the info on the Redline site. Fascinating! They say that the additives in much of the fuel actually cruds up your fuel system and that the typical injector cleaner is hard on the system.

I'll know by the weekend but I can asure you it's improved greatly. I'm impressed to say the least. I'm dissapointed however as to the fact that my sample might be skewed now from using this. Oh well. Still worth it.

Right now I have 190 miles on 1/2 a tank of gas, which is 5.5 gallons. Avg. speed of 73-78mph @ 2800 -2950 rpms/ AC on most of the time.

I am curious whether the Redline SI-1 skewed your oil analysis? I ran two full treatments through my pickup and now am on maintenance dose. Oil has 600 miles on it and was plannning a UOA around 4000 miles. Would be interesting as this is SJ oil with a label copyright of 1998. Might indicate something on the shelf life question. But if it's a skew, it may not be worth the bother. Also was planning UOA on wife's van with Maxlife 10w30, but I have a bottle of Redline in its tank right now. BTW, the Pickup is running like a champ after the redline--I'm sold!

I was using a maintenance dose of about 2-3 oz per month in my SpecV and based on unspectacular results, Terry recommended I drop using it

Using Fuel Power now. Just started 10 days ago.

Using a maintenance dose in all my cars for the past 10+ years, I never notice a difference. But I also never have problems.

I have seen Red Line SI-1 work minor miracles and don't doubt its effectiveness on truly gunky fuel systems. One was Bogatyr's old VW rabbit which went from 24mpg to 31mpg in one tankful.

I plan on buying some today and adding at my next oil changes for both my vehicles. Do you guys recommend the whole bottle for the first application, like what I read from Redline product sheet, or something else? I generally have always used a fuel system treatment or cleaner at every oil change, and in the past had excellent initial results, i.e. the treatment tank and a couple more tanks post treatment, as far as increase in gas mileage with Valvoline's syn-power fuel system cleaner, but this stuff looks interesting, and is even cheaper than techron and about the same as syn-power.

Yeah, as Bror mentioned, I've used this product for a while and have had good results. I think the Rabbit was a special case...hmm, it was a special case for a lot of things...

Usually with the Hondas, I'll run some Si1 about twice a year, maybe spring and fall. I do notice that the mileage goes up about 1mpg after using it. I don't run the maintenance dose though.

lobo11, is your current car old? Has it been seeing some sort of regular cleaner use?

If your car's fuel system seems in good shape (and you've been using other products all along?), I don't see any point in a heavy dose of SI-1.
