Replacing OEM tires right away. Whats your opinion

The Eagle LS-II were crap, that VW had to issue a TSB on its wear. Fortunately, I got lucky and avoided them on 2 VW's (Michelin Energy MXV4 and Pirelli P6's)

My '03 Golf TDI was sitting on the lot with the Eagle LS2 - dealer swapped them out for the Energy MXV4 before I took delivery, probably just pulled them off another Jetta/Golf/NB with steel wheels. They told me it was first time they had been asked that.

The only time I ever heard of that was by truck owners looking for a better offroad tire . To each his own though .

Did the same on my 1er. Sold the run flats not long after getting the car. Switched to MPSS, much betterer.
