Say you fix it and now what? Do you want to drive it?

Sell it to someone who has the inclination to fix it and wants to drive it.

I am not a Caddy type of guy. Would not want it if you gave it to me and there were no head gasket issues.

Is the coolant getting into the oil?

That doesn't happen when a NS head gasket fails. This is a pressure fail into the water jacket, from the combustion chamber.

If you decide to fix it, I'll send you a free water pump belt! Check that belt tensioner too, they tend to slip from being in one spot too long.

Gotta love, how us consumers get to pay huge sum's of money, to be test drivers for the failed engineering of the auto manufactures.
GM should have stuck with engine designs they knew would work.

The Northstar replaced the 4.1, 4.5, 4.9 Cadillac-only engines that were even more garbage. Being at the forward end of the (technological) spear is where one wants to put their luxury marque, it's just a bummer GM has the curse of being GM.

Sell it for super cheap to someone who’s able and willing to take on a project like that. Then tell the neighbor you thought about it and it was too much project for you. But that you found a good home for it.

And then give him the cash that you got for selling it.

I list it including all the problems that are with it and say the first $300 takes it. And then give the neighbor the 300.
