Rented an Armada while in the Phoenix area

Wife has a 14 Platinum Reserve 4x4. I put A/T tires on it after the factory Michelins were gone, it is a very capable vehicle with A/T tires. It has held up very well, just routine wear items and one O2 sensor.
I can't bring myself to even look at the new ones due to the GDI. I buy vehicles new and keep the long-term, at least 200K. I cringe at youtube vids of mechanics cleaning the carbon off of DI intake valves, all that hard carbon goes right to the piston rings.
If they’re letting it go down into the cylinders, they’re doing it wrong.

A set of bilstein 5100's and that Armada would be even sweeter.

The vk56 and its variants are sweet mills.

The 4600s would be better IMHO. The 5100's are too stiff.

This is a good point- and it likely depends on the standard compliment of passengers and or it the rig is used for towing.

If the standard load is Mr. and Mrs. Kule, Id agree.

If its the Kule family with all their gear and a trailer Id vote the 5100's

The 4600's will be better than the stockers for sure.

While we joke, it’s not like any of the Full size V8 powered SUV’s are particularly great. Some are just worse than others (Toyota…cough…)

Yup - capability and space incurs a cost in mileage.

The guy that drives back and forth to work on a flat country road at 49MPH that gets low 20's is the exception.

Yep. And space actually is not particularly great when compared to minivans. If space is the ultimate priority, SUV is not the best option.

Agreed minivans do "space" great.

I especially like the rigs with second row captains chairs a long freeway trip with 2 couples is awesome in this.

Offroad and towing though, not so much.

Mine has 2nd row captain chairs. Kids love it as they can just roam around when we stop or need to get something in the back.
That is where advantages stop. We will probably have to go SUV route due to mountain biking as we cannot access anything off road with Sienna. Too low to the ground and nothing under to protect the drivetrain.
