Remote Starter Started on it's own? Awesome

Yup, I don't know how many times I've had to tell my kids "Grab your coat". They think, "We're only going a couple of miles and will be in the car." What could possibly go worng? I do keep a blanket in the back...

I am not reading everyone's replys here but, I know just as many folks that have remote start systems in their vehicle that experience bad results as, I know folks that just love'em without any issues.

My Lexus & Nissan dealership would not recomend installing a remote starting system in our Lexus/Nissan due to the lack of compatability with too many of the system being installed.

Sure, the systems work fine a many vehicles but, I have heard too many horror stories from folks in my circle(family/friends) and each person/vehicle experiences something different.

I even have one friend in particular that had a remote starting system removed from one vehicle and put into another without any issues in either vehicle.

But, it's 50/50 with the folks that I know! Either the systems works as designed or they cause electrical problems in the vehicle. No single person that I have spoken with that was having issues with their system, claimed that the system just stopped working! All of the bad claims were electrical gremlins

Now, I believe that most of the newer remote starting systems are much, much better and compatable with more and more vehicles. But, it seems to be hit or miss!

My wife would love a remote starting system in her car but, I am too reluctant to have one installed due to, her car starts fine everyday for the last 12 years without any issues. I don't want to cause starting problems when I don't have any now!
