Hello

First oil analysis on my F-150. 26,000 miles total. I haven't changed the oil yet. I live in SC. Nearly all trips are 10 miles or under, except a 800-mile trip a few months ago—lots of idle time.

I am going to change the oil brand, but I have no idea what brand to use. I have always gone to quicky places that either use Pennzoil Platinum or Valvoline Synthetic. This time I went to a Take-5 shop and they use Duramax. I cannot change my own oil due to where I live, but I am going to buy oil and take it to a local shop next week.

Any feedback or recommendations are welcome. Thanks in advance.

The fuel & or the engine sheared it down a bit in only 3k miles. Other parameters look good though.

Thank you all for your feedback. I just bought some mobil esp 0W-30. I’m having the oil change tomorrow. I’m going to run it for 5000 miles and then do another analysis. Thanks again.
My concern was that the oil had dropped down a grade.
You've done your homework. That ESP should hold better viscosity but that also depends on the fuel dilution. You plan to sample next drain interval?

I wonder if it is a bad sample, or if this Duramax oil is just mediocre at best. Something tells me it's the latter, which concerns me because I highly doubt the average Take 5 customer is doing a 3k mi OCI. :-)
