I need a voltage regulator for my non-profit's '02 Polaris Ranger. As with everything Polaris, aftermarket tends to die quickly but OEM is not cheap.
Is this really that hard? Is there a more universal/readily available regulator/ rectifier combo I might be able to wire up?
Were there old vehicle applications that did not rectify in the alternator or generator but instead had an external rectifier?
Maybe very common motorcycle applications?
It doesn't seem that hard, it just has to rectify and limit voltage to a safe level?
